Sanborn Maps

I'm sorry but Sanborn maps I thought was very confusing and I am not sure what I was suppose to see or use it for!! Maybe I could see one using it to identify what land belonged to whom at certain time. I am sorry, but this one got me!

  1. That is quite all right, dlueb! This is not so easy to navigate and is definitely for a certain audience of historical researchers. People who are researching their town's history, the history of their home or business place, people who are studying certain time periods, or people doing restoration work find the details of Sanborn Maps invaluable. You could see changes in the Augustana campus through the years, for example and know whether they were brick or wood. We're sorry for your frustration. Thanks for taking a look and for being honest. :)
